Being thoughtful can be painful

Its been only a week, but it felt like a month. Finally, a time to catch a breather & return to this sacred space of mine.

These visuals have been way overdue, sitting quietly in a corner of my memory card, waiting like a sad abandoned child. As you can see, I've really been into metallics of late. Scored these incredible, drop-dead amazing Silver Litas at the nastygal sales for only 3/4 of the usual price! Absolutely adore how they turn out in photos, with the glorious daylight reflecting off the silver surface. ヾ(＠^∇^＠)ノ And those contrasting red laces... HOW CAN THIS BE ON SALES. Its one of my recent happy online purchases that I'm really thankful for. ｡◕‿◕｡ Oh, & imagine my immense joy at finding the perfect gold & silver cuffs. Goes with literally anything & everything. And my 2 new knits from Europe's H&M! They are so versatile & comfy I've been wearing them to school far too often. Especially love the 'coated' effect on each knit, undeniably unique & cool! The last photo is a recent acquisition of mine - a khaki coat with thin leather sleeves, just wonderful for Singapore's weather.

Dear me, I've been blabbering too much haven't I. ( ꒪Д꒪)ノ Just wanted to share some of my new wardrobe favorites & staples. What are yours?


These days, I often find myself wandering around alone. Not because I have no friends, in fact I realize I've been subconsciously trying to find ways or time to be alone in my own company. Then again, I like being alone sometimes, though now more often than usual. It gives me time & space to think.

Most importantly, it gives me distance to observe.

Just dropping in to say hi! (supposed to be on a week hiatus) I've noticed that recently my blog has seen a remarkable surge in Russian visitors for some reason? Здравствуйте!

The week has been a Wizard-of-Oz-worthy tornado of never-ending projects, assignments & worries. At times when it seems to be getting better, everything suddenly solidifies into a mass of pure academic agony that can only be defined by the common phrase: "shit-happens".

Brushing Past, Seeing Past

Taken on the night after the Topshop Party.

Decided to take some self-shots since for once, in a rare blue moon, I actually had some make-up on. (putting aside the fact that it looks very amateurish, hah) I'm madly in love with this Topshop leather Jacket I grabbed at the Party, the perfect concoction of simplicity & subtle street cool. Whats more, it fits me just great, probably the greatest miracle in the history of leather jackets. (every other one I tried one has always been slightly spacey) Hello new wardrobe staple.

It saddens me to say that I will have to leave this space for awhile. The sudden onslaught of 4 projects & an estimated 9 assignments (or more) has forcibly chained me to the harsh reality of a sad student life. The fact that I am limited to only spending $3 a day for the next 2 weeks isn't helping much either. (dirt-broke again, don't ask)

Topshop Breakfast Party

A happy morning spent at the Topshop Breakfast Party on Saturday! Unfortunately since we got stuck in a morning jam & a ridiculous Car park queue, we missed the opening of the party itself. Note to self: suck it up & get a cab next time you fool. It felt extremely liberating to finally be able to take pictures in Topshop! Albeit all the excitement & frenzy of being surrounded by their heavenly new arrivals plus the large crowd of fabulously dressed-to-kill people, I stupidly blissfully forgot to snap some shots till the very last minute. (on a side note, doesn't the black boots remind you of the Acne Pistol ones??) I have to admit, I'm certainly not used to events like these. Must have been the most awkward turtle there. (◎-◎；) Haha, it brings a smile to my face when I recall this conversation I had with a NYLON magazine photographer:

Me: ah, yep
Photographer: OHMYGOSH your mom shops at topshop with you, so cute!

I also had the pleasure of meeting Shane from mymomhatesfashion! I has noticed him right away in the store because of his killer cool blazer. Before we talked, I was actually thinking up of 165 different ways to make off with it, heh. He's great fun to talk to as well! But for some unknown reason my camera went slightly out of focus for this shot. I presume it because his outfit is probably too amazing for my camera to capture.

Handicapped Heart

Guess what came in the mail last week~♪
Finally, my very 1st film camera! Can't wait to give it a try! （≧▼≦；) Now what should I name it? By now you might have noticed that I have this naming habit for favorite non-living material items. (Miu Miu bag - Mei Lan, JC Buster Boots - Harley).

The past week has been a relatively interesting & enjoyable one! Saturday was a blast with an invitation to the Topshop Breakfast Party (photos tomorrow!) & Anime Festival Asia with Sinyee! ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ


This sounds quite sudden & pretty out of the blue, but I'm so grateful for everything right now. I really am.

Duet Of Deception

Here's the visuals for my outing with the Goldfish! It all started when I got the news about ARANZI WORLD CARAVAN coming back to Singapore, & from there onwards there really was nothing else to be said. DID I MENTION ARANZI IS THE EPITOME OF CUTE. If I do get to meet the designers/creators, I would go down on my knees to thank them for making this dark world a slightly better place by injecting their adorable innovations into reality. ヽ(°◇° )ノヽ( °◇°)ノ Sadly, everything was overpriced there, but me and Goo had plenty of fun just laughing at their adorable English ('Faind me'. Pfft) & admiring the spaz-worthy creative character designs. Lunch was the perfect avocado salad & cream cheese sandwich with a side of chips~ Entertainment was provided by Goo, watching her fondle play with Mei Lan & listening to her Taiwan Travel stories. (´-ω-｀)

Finally made the effort to go down to Oakham Market, with my last visit dating a century back. Scored this amazing bright teal maxi swing skirt there! ★ Will show it to you one day if I have the chance to~ The juicy red cherry on top of the sundae was the Melon Cheesecake and Raspberry Chocolate Mousse cake that's guaranteed to put a smile of pure bliss on anyone's face! Was especially enthralled by the smooth chocolate coating on the mousse cake, it resembles liquid chocolate gold doesn't it? ヽ(｡ゝω・｡)ﾉ
